The consumption of electronic cigarettes in China is far from the same scale. Cigarette sales in China were 1.42 trillion yuan in 2015, and less than 0.2% of the number. In the global market, the sales of electronic cigarettes are about 1.1%. The growth of China's electronic smoke is also much slower than the global 51% rate: The annual compound growth rate of nearly five years is 17.5%.
Fun is the main reason it's popular
The reason for the relatively slow growth and small volume is that it has entered a "player" market in China before the spread of electronic smoke in the mainstream population (smokers).
Most e-smoke experience shops are very "subculture": Shop assistants dress up on the street-with tattoos, baseball caps or baggy clothes (the same is true for people who are wearing electronic cigarettes on video sites). If there is a TV in the store, you are likely to see the video of the player's smoke ring, the background music may be hip-hop or electric tone, there will be some skateboards, modified cars or street dance scenes.
